>Signs of Spring

>I feel like I’ve been in a little bit of a “design slump” the past few weeks. I’ve been so overwhelmed with work stuff, and then I kept seeing these amazing projects posted on other blogs, and I think I got overwhelmed all over again. Then, I won a give-away from Kimm @ Reinvented to pick an 8×10 print from jones design company.

I immediately fell in love with this print:

I love the simplicity, the verse, the color, and the promise of spring that comes attached to this print:

I put it in a frame that was only $4 at Wal*Mart…I love the frame and think it looks like it came from somewhere a lot classier & expensive 🙂

For now, it’s proudly displayed on a shelf in my living room…

I can’t wait to get some flowers to liven up my spring decor…but for right now I’m appreciating the simplicity of this display 🙂
You might remember my candlesticks from this post, or my book stack from this post. Gotta love “shopping the house”!

Has anyone else been in a “design slump”? Any tips to get out of it? 🙂
Thanks again to Kimm & jones design company!!!!

    >I think it is beautiful! Perfect for spring. When I am in a design slump, I usually need to get out of the house for a bit. Go to the park, the zoo, on a hike, just to get away for the day.

    >Darling print! I love it. What a lucky winner you are. And I love your shelf display.I'm in a bit of a slump myself. Lots of ideas, but no motivation (or $$) to get them done. Uggg.

  9. >Simple is good! And a slump is nothing more than you telling yourself that you need a break. Take time to nurture yourself. The inspiration will return! 🙂

  10. >Not so much of a design slump as no energy to do anything with having been sick with a low-grade infection for about 7 weeks. Your little bird print is really cute and does look like spring.
