>Fun School Supplies

>There’s just something about having cute school supplies. I know that makes me sound super nerdy…but I really am much more willing to write something down if it’s in something cute πŸ™‚ I wanted to send a little something to a friend (who I don’t think reads this blog regularly, but just in case…I won’t name them) who is in college right now. However, I didn’t want to spend a lot of $$…since I don’t have any! πŸ™‚

Here’s what I came up with:

Cute, right? Simple, thrifty, and cute! Here’s how I did it:

First, I started with this:

flimsy “cardboard” from some sheets of sandpaper. I know…I keep the most random things! But I cut it down to the size I wanted…

Then I mod-podged some brown/gray cardstock on the front and back of it. This is where you can have fun! I chose to make mine pretty simple, but think of all of the possibilities with this! I stamped a word on the bottom, punched 2 holes, threaded a ribbon through, and cut up some white cardstock to clip on…and I’m done!

I also decorated my binder clips by mod-podging a little piece of scrapbook paper right onto it! Super easy!

Also included in the package will be this:

A cute little post-it holder! I used this tutorial from Tracy at Beneath My Heart…if you don’t follow her blog…stop reading now and go follow her! Then come back πŸ™‚

So, a fun little present made mostly from supplies you probably have at your house already! Consider surprising someone with a little “care package” with some cute school supplies this week πŸ™‚
