>PB inspired candle sticks – and painted book display!

>I was inspired by Impatiently Praying for Patience and her floor candlesticks, and I made my own version. Check out her website…she’s great! 🙂

If you like the look of these…keep reading this picture-heavy post 🙂

A few of you might remember that I went to Virginia this summer with my husband and Buckley…

While we were there…I convinced my husband to let us go thrifting! *love him*

I picked up 3 chair legs while I was there – $1.00 a piece. The lady who checked me out looked at me like I had ten heads. She said, “You only want 3?!” I just smiled and said I had what I needed! 🙂

I put a nice coat of black spray paint on them…

And then I bought these fence post toppers ($1.97 each) at Lowes

I then painted those…

Glued them together with Gorilla Glue…
Then I found little glass candle holders at JoAnn Fabrics for $0.75 a piece, and hot glued them to the top, put some candles from around the house in, and…

I was inspired by Book Makeovers that DecorChick shared back in July, so I made my own version, using leftover paint & ribbon from different projects, and some books I had laying around the house that I knew I wasn’t going to read again…

I Mod-Podged some scrapbook paper on the bindings of the cream books, and stamped the gray one with a fun stamp I picked up at an antique store for $1.00!

*please ignore the wrinkly curtains in the below pictures…it’s embarassing! I’m just too impatient, and they really don’t look this bad in real life…*

Inspired by these PB beauties for $129…

Mine are definitely not the same, but I love them anyways 🙂

Chair legs: $3.00

Spray Paint: $2.97

Fence Post toppers: $5.91

Glass candle holders: $2.25

Antique stamp: $1.00

Books, ribbon, candles, paint: Free (leftover from other projects)

Total Cost: $15.13

Gotta love that price 🙂

I’ll br linking up to many of the great parties on my sidebar, go take a look! And, I’m working on that give-away, so check back in a few days to get in on the fun 🙂
